Year 8 ‘Take Over’ Morning
Following the end of the Common Entrance exams, the Year 8 boys prepared and taught a range of lessons, including Science, Maths, English, French, Latin, History, Geography and Music to boys in years 3-7. They very quickly understood the importance of detailed preparation and good subject knowledge, and many delivered outstanding lessons. Members of staff were asked to complete a lesson observation sheet for each lesson, making fascinating reading. Many of us would be pleased with the comments received by some of the boys.
‘Introduction to the semicolon will be of help in their future English work.’
‘Very successful. The boys were very knowledgeable about their subject.’
‘The boys enjoyed the lesson, were engaged and liked the challenge.’
Overall, a very successful morning!
