Year 7’s BIG weekend

What a BIG weekend our Year 7 have just experienced!  Starting with a trip to Downe House, the girls hosted a challenging quiz involving mixed teams. After time to socialise over pizzas, they then returned to school with huge smiles and lots of stories. The social event clearly wore them out as there wasn’t a peep out of them after lights-out.

Sunday began with a healthy full English breakfast, which recharged their energy levels ready for a spot of Zorb football on Bates.  Meanwhile Mr. Morris took all the full boarders on a long walk with Bernie, the black Labrador puppy.  At midday our Year 7 pupils headed home, and the remaining boarders enjoyed time on their devices, and called home.

Lunch consisted of a tasty roast chicken, then Mr. Morris gave the boys free time to play in the Sports Hall, followed by an epic table tennis tournament in the McMullen Hall. For those interested in the Six Nations, they bedded down to watch the England v France game shown in the Long Room.

Our pupils have been great company this weekend. Besides all the fun and excitement, they completed all their spellings and learnt their general knowledge.
