Year 7 Informal Concert

By the time the boys reach Year 7 their own developing tastes and styles are reflected in their Informal Concerts, rather than their teachers’. Thus on Friday in our first concert of the summer term  we had an own composition from Angus,  Charlie accompanying his own singing on the piano, Oscar playing drums along to  an anti-establishment rock song and  a band playing Careless Whisper by the late George Michael, all of which sat happily alongside more classical pieces such as La cucaracha on the cello and some piano examination pieces. This is a year group who are stamping their own individuality upon their music-making and we look forward to seeing them emerge even more out of their musical shells as they move into the top year in the Autumn.
