Year 6 Big Activity Weekend

After a Saturday afternoon of cricket matches, (and a bit of dodging the rain showers!) the boys came inside slightly wet and bedraggled.   Soon however the evening sun appeared and the Year 6 boys headed outside again for some free time: tennis, bat room cricket, frisbee or just chilling out before supper.

Lara laid on another fantastic BBQ which was enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Afterwards the house came to life with the sound of roaring as the boys running everywhere took part in an awesome game of Indoor Lions.  Lots of exhausted, red-faced boys showered and got into their pyjamas to watch some of the epic film ‘Frozen’.  The best bit was listening to them all singing ‘Let it Go’ so tunefully and with such gusto!

After a really good sleep and lie in, the boys enjoyed a relaxed full English breakfast in their pyjamas.  They were then split into small groups for kayaking on the Lower Lake and Long Ball on Yard.

A delicious Sunday Roast followed and for those who remained, the afternoon consisted of  playing 5 a side footy, having a free swim and some ‘chillaxing’ watching some of the final day of the Premier League Football season.

Another great Year 6 Big Weekend!
