Year 4 trip to Henley

The Year 4s had a very enjoyable visit to Henley Rivers and Rowing Museum on Monday 11th June 2018, beginning with a few hands on river experiments in the classroom. While on a walk along the tow-path to Marsh Lock, we were able to look at various river features of the River Thames.

We saw the confluence, tributary, a flood plain, a small meander and we learned about animals that live along the river.

We spent a short time in the museum, stopping off for a quick visit to the “Wind in the Willows”. This lovely sunny day also included lunch under the shady trees along the bank of the River Thames.
