Year 4 Tree Leagues Football Tournament

Saturday saw the culmination of the first ever Tree Leagues Football Tournament for the Year 4 boys. An incredible 51 matches were contested by Birch, Willow, Elm and Oak leading up to the last round of games on Finals Day. Willow were the eventual winners after a fiercely fought final set of matches. Thank you to all the boys for their effort throughout the term and for their continued sense of ‘tree loyalty.’

Finals Day was also an opportunity to do some fundraising and, thanks to the hard work and thought of Mr Morris’s Year 4 activity group,  we were able to sell enough programmes and cakes to raise a fantastic £206 (32,000 Nepalese Rupees) for Miss Pinder to take out to the Khagendra New Life Centre in Nepal this Christmas. Together we have ensured that the whole centre are treated to a great Christmas feast.

Thank you to Mrs Harvey and Mrs Pownall for their help on the cake stall and to all the referees for ensuring a fun Finals Day and thoroughly successful first Tree Leagues tournament.
