Year 3 Visit the Hexagon in Reading

There was much excitement amongst the Year 3s as we visited the Horrible Histories Groovy Greeks at Reading’s Hexagon. We were introduced to a galaxy of Greek gods, saw some stirring Greek myths re-enacted but the real treat was the 3-D Boggle Vision in the second half. It was as if we had entered the Minotaur’s labyrinth and stood face-to-face with the evil beast which Theseus finally defeated. We got involved in the Persian Wars and had arrows, rocks and even boulders thrown at us (through the illusion of the Boggle Vision). What a magical, entertaining and educational experience for all involved. Here’s what some of the boys had to say about the day:

“It was eally cool when the boats splashed through the waves and then sunk ” Ben Williams

“I loved watching the gods take part in a talent show which Poseidon won”  Alfie Stevenson

“It was great when the arrows were flying towards us in the Persian Wars”  Oliver Smiley
