Year 3 Visit to the Hindu Temple
On Wednesday 19th October Year 3 visited the Hindu Temple in Reading as part of their RS studies. It was the first occasion that the boys had worn their blazers and they all looked very smart. Some even thought they looked like James Bond!
The temple was full of Hindu gods and goddesses and Pandit Anil spoke about them, about karma and about respect. Interestingly, he said the greatest respect must be shown firstly to one’s mother, then father, then teacher and, finally, to religion. After has talk and question and answer session, the priest then performed a song on his harmonium.
At the end of the session all the boys were given a piece of fruit. We then put our shoes back on and boarded the bus to return to Elstree.
