Year 3 and 4 Informal Concert

With 64 performers in the Year 3 and 4 Informal Concert, it was no surprise that we ran out of chairs and had to squeeze over 100 people into the Long Room. And what an audience they were… whooping and cheering our performers in what was for some of them their first concert ever. So spectacular!

The Year 3s top and tailed the concert. To start the Razzle Dazzle Recorders performed ‘Skat Blues’ before Laurie, Hubery, Aggie, Gabriella and Harry played solos on their own instruments. Congratulations to them for overcoming their nerves and getting up in front of everyone. To finish the concert, they all sang ‘Dreamer’ and ‘Shake the Papaya Down’ which was epic! They sang with big grins, and we could tell they enjoyed themselves.

In amongst our Year 3 sandwich were all the Year 4s who gave us a massive variety of performances, from Gaby singing ‘I wanna be like you’, to Honour playing ‘Juba’ on the flute, to Alfie drumming ‘Yellow’, we were thoroughly entertained. There were too many fabulous performances to mention everyone here, but the Year 4 Ukulele group performance of ‘Just the way you are’ was jaw-droppingly good.

Congratulations to all the Year 3s and 4s for giving us an excellent show.
