Twelve pairs compete at annual Father and Son Tennis Tournament

Thankfully a day without rain, meant the annual Father and Son tennis tournament could go ahead this Saturday.

Twelve pairs thrashed it out on Elstree’s courts for over two hours. The five rounds were played in good team spirit, with three pairs – the Atkinsons, the Hines and the Dale-Jones – winning fourteen games each.

Tension rose as our finalists, the Atkinsons and the Hines, both gained match points. However, the Hines were victorious in the end, winning 3-2.

Well done to all the boys for their enthusiasm and good manners. Thank you to all the fathers who took part.
