Trip to the Jewish Museum

Year 5 had a truly memorable trip to the Jewish Museum in London. We were treated to hearing from Ruth Barnett (one of Kindertransport Refugees from the Second World War). She had a touching but fascinating story to tell about her hardships and experience of World War Two. Before that, we had workshops where we could touch and feel some of the unique items of Jewish religion. In the galleries, we saw some amazing examples of the beautiful artwork done by the Jews. We also had a session on Hebrew writing and we learnt to write our names in Hebrew. Overall it was a fantastic trip and Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed it.
