The Elstree Hour

The Elstree Hour inevitably had to operate slightly differently to normal this Summer Term but, nevertheless, the Year 2 children were treated to a plethora of fun activities whilst getting to know a number of the Prep School staff.

Mrs Syckelmoore kicked things off with some great Art activities over Zoom.  Mr Williams then treated the children to some challenging scavenger hunt type games and this was followed by some brilliant bushcraft from Mr Attwood.  Our Head of Science, Mr Brown, shared some exciting experiments the next week.

In the final week of term the children enjoyed a lovely picnic in the Headmaster’s garden followed by a fun game of ‘Things Wrong in the Garden’.  Mr and Mrs Inglis were very impressed by how good the children were at finding the funny things that were hidden in their garden!  As the rain clouds gathered, it was then time to receive their lovely Pre-Prep Leavers’ hoodies (thank you Home Farm Friends for organising these) and put on their graduation hats before a rather wet walk back to the Pre-Prep!  A big thank you to all the staff for hosting these sessions and well done to the Year 2 children for participating with such enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing you in the Prep School in September.
