Senior Choir Evensong at Bath Abbey

The Elstree Senior Choir ended the term by singing choral Evensong in Bath Abbey. They received a warm welcome and  really enjoyed preforming in such a stunning and acoustic building. The music included two of their favourite anthems; ‘Love divine’ by Goodall and ‘Lead me Lord’ by Wesley (with some lovely solo work from  Head Chorister Tom Pullan) as well as a metrical setting of the psalm, ‘As the Deer and the Magnificat’ and ‘Nunc Dimittis’ in B minor by T. Tertius Noble. This was a new venture for the choir and was much appreciated by the congregation of parents and relatives who attended the service. It was particularly nice to meet an old Elstree boy who told the boys he had been Head Chorister 1940s.
