Scholar Presentation evening

On the evening of the 6th June, the Year 8 scholarship classes gave presentations to the parents of Elstree in the science atrium.  In the Atrium, the 8SEW History projects on ‘Health Through History’ were displayed and snacks were available.  To begin with the Year 8s gave Science presentations on subjects such as how glow sticks work, nuclear reactions, and fun experiments with vinegar. The experiments were weird and wonderful, and the presentations were interesting and engaging.

Afterwards, 8SEW gave 4 presentations on global health patterns, health variations, food health, and HIV/AIDS.  These were followed by some presentations by 8EHL on prison breakouts and the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).  All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening, with lots of interesting topics covered.
