‘Rasher the Pig’ for Year 1
This term Year One are learning about farms. On Tuesday 20th January Jan and Pam came from the Newbury and District Agricultural Society with Rasher the pig. (He wasn’t a real pig. They couldn’t fit a real pig into their car!) Jan told us all sorts of interesting facts about pigs. Did you know that you can teach pigs tricks and that they use mud as suntan lotion? We helped Pam to make some sausages. The next day smell of sizzling sausages spread throughout Home Farm and we thoroughly enjoyed eating them!
We are looking forward to meeting Buttercup the cow who is coming to visit this afternoon.
