Pangbourne College Orchestral Fun Day

On Tuesday, 9th June, 14 boys from Elstree went to Pangbroune College for their Orchestral Fun day. Grade 3 and above was the required standard, and there were boys who attended the day from each section – brass, percussion, strings, and woodwind.

Part of the day was spent practising in their sections, which then culminated in a concert in the afternoon. The New Director of Music composed a wonderful piece of music called Ahoy! especially for the day in recognition of the College’s Nautical roots. Other pieces played included ‘Summertime’, ‘Mama Mia’ and ‘Wallace and Gromit’.

All the boys had a great day and came home were their certificates.
