PALS visit to Elstree

At the weekend, we welcomed children and adult helpers from PALS, a local charity we have been supporting for many years, for their first visit of the year.

As the sun was shinning we all spent the morning outside. We began by collecting leaves, pines cones, twigs and made them in into pieces of natural art. We also used them to decorate the clay tree faces which are stuck to a number of trees around the front lawn.

After a much needed refreshment break we went for a walk around Top Lake, noticing dragon flies and a toad. The take off stage for the zip wire was a great place for improvised cone races to take place. Jack said “…it was great fun…”, whilst Otis asked if “…he could do this every Saturday morning!” – unfortunately not!

My thanks to the Year 7s who helped everyone have a great morning and we look forward to seeing the PALS again later in the term.

We look forward to seeing the PALS towards the end of term for some Christmas-themed fun.
