House Cross Country

Bleak and bitter were the weather conditions for this year’s annual House Cross-Country Competition but this didn’t stop the boys rallying round and running their hearts out. Results will be announced in Monday’s Assembly but things are looking up for South house: Harry (South) came in first in the Juniors missing the school record by just four seconds; Mack (South) came in first in the Intermediates; and South bagged the first four places in the Seniors – Guy in gold medal place, Ollie silver, Harry bronze and Charlie in fourth place. The Senior course is particularly challenging being 3.5km of undulating terrain.

There was a particularly good spirit to this year’s competition and the Elstree boys did us proud. Well done to each and every one of them. Thank you also to the Elstree staff and Gappers that helped out in such a pleasant and willing manner meaning that the whole thing went off without a hitch. Things are looking very promising in the world of cross-country at Elstree!
