Home Farm participate in Pre-Prep Choral Competition

The Home Farm Choir has been busy this term preparing their songs for the inaugural Pre-Prep School Choral Competition.  On arrival, we were treated to a truly memorable choral workshop with Ben Clark.  His teaching was inspirational as he took the children through a variety of energetic and fun warm-ups before rehearsing the song that all of the choirs had learned, ‘Mark the Shark’.  The children had huge fun as they decided on the different voices that they would use for the various verses for the shark, squid, fish and whale.  Ben also taught the children the well known chorus to ‘Mud, mud, glorious mud…’

After a quick break for some well deserved refreshments, it was time for the competition to begin.  Home Farm sang ‘The Seed Song’ and ‘Wobbly Tooth’ with confidence and enthusiasm.  The morning finished with all of the choirs singing together, a really uplifting performance for all participating and watching.  Congratulations to Upton House who won the trophy and many thanks to Lambrook school for inviting us and to Mrs Westley who accompanied us to the event.
