On Saturday we were delighted to welcome more than 80 Grandparents to Elstree for the morning. It was lovely that so many of them joined us for the weekly service at St Peter’s Woolhampton, which was at full capacity . This was followed by coffee and refreshments in the Long Room, where there was the opportunity to see some of the recent art-work the boys had done.
The children then took them on their own individual tours of the school, and showed them the places that are particularly special to them. This was followed by a vocal concert in the McMullan Hall featuring three of the school choirs. The chapel choir sang ‘Lead Me Lord’ and ‘On Eagle’s Wings’. Next up was the Year 5 and 6 choir with their rendition of ‘Wayfarin’ Stranger’ and ‘Saints Go Marching’. To finish off, the Year 4 choir performed ‘The Last Dinosaur’ and ‘Disco Beat’. It was a special morning and lovely to meet so many Grandparents.
