Netball

Netball is the main sport for the girls in the Lent Term, with each year group having at least three training sessions a week.  During their training sessions, the girls practice and hone their individual ball skills as well as developing their understanding of specific rules, tactics, and match play.

We follow the framework set up by England Netball and play age-appropriate formats of the game, ranging from 4 a side matches in Year 3 all the way up to a full game of 7 a side.  Throughout the term, all girls are given the opportunity to represent the school in competitive matches against other local prep schools.  These fixtures give the girls an opportunity to apply their skills in a competitive situation and to also learn the importance of teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship.
