Golf

We are very fortunate at Elstree to have a 9 hole golf course, together with the services of PGA professional golfer Simon McGreal, from Bradfield College, to help coach our pupils. We have a significant number of pupils receiving instruction during the Autumn and Summer Terms.

Children are taught basic techniques, such as the grip, stance and swing, but also introduced to the important etiquette and safety aspects of the game. We hope that the coaching sessions will help some of the pupils get a lower handicap and play some matches.

Each year during the Summer Term Elstree holds a parents and sons’ golf tournament. It is always well attended, and the where the winning pair have their names engraved on a magnificent trophy!
