Football

Association football is one of the main sport during the Autumn Term. All boys play four times a week with the aims of developing skill levels and having fun. Coaching is undertaken by staff from school, all of whom enjoy enthusing the boys with their passion for the game. Boys play according to the laws as laid down by the Football Association which emphasise the need for small sided games, skill acquisition and decision making as key elements in developing young footballers.

Fixtures against other schools are an opportunity to put into practice the skills that have been honed on the training ground and every boy will have the opportunity to represent the school during the term. Performance is more important than results and Elstree is very proud of its fine sporting reputation.
