December 4, 2023Well done to Year 6 for their brilliant performances of “Around the World …
Christian values underpin all that we do at Elstree. The weekly services at St Peter’s Church, Woolhampton are a special and valuable part of life here. These services take place on a Saturday morning, or a Sunday on the first and last weekends of term. Parents are always welcome to join us for the service, followed by coffee in the Long Room afterwards. We invite a different visiting preacher to speak in church each week, usually a Public School Headmaster, Housemaster, Chaplain or Registrar. In the weekly services, the chapel choir perform an anthem and lead the congregational singing and Year 8 pupils will do the readings, lead the prayers and act as Church Wardens.
The Pre-Prep children visit St Peter’s Church for special events such as Harvest Festival and their Christmas Service.
We are also fortunate to be situated close to Douai Abbey where we hold our annual Christmas Carol Service, as well as the Leavers’ Service at the end of the summer term.
There are regular morning assemblies in the McMullen Hall which are either be led by the Headmaster, a member of staff or a group of children.
