Elstree Senior Choir
Elstree Senior Choir have just completed a a mini-tour of the south of England! The boys sang at Mapledurham Church on the banks of the River Thames on Friday evening. Organiser Ian Lowry commented ‘It was a great evening and very moving in places; the combination of the ancient sacred building in summer harmony with the voices of the young boys, many of whom would soon leave the warm comfort of prep school bringing some audience members to tears.’ The rain held off enabling the post-concert Pimms to be enjoyed in the churchyard!
The second venue on Tuesday was in Hamstead Marshall church, organised by parent Sarah Stevenson. She commented ‘Enormous thanks to Elstree choir for singing so beautifully to a full church at St Mary’s Hamstead Marshall on Tuesday night. We are delighted to confirm that the evening raised over £700 for our historic and special church. The performance was a huge success – the boys were enthusiastic and charming. A huge thanks to everyone involved.’
