Early Years Concert

What a success our first Early Years Concert was!

Earlier in the term, the children in Nursery and Reception wrote or decorated beautiful invitations to send to their parents inviting them to come to our Early Years Concert. The new children to Elstree also wrote to their old teachers to invite them to come along to see them in their new setting and to watch the concert.

The children arrived at the McMullen Hall to a sea of smiling faces.

Class RP took to the stage first. They performed “Man on the Moon” and “Standing on the Bus”, singing with loud voices and smiles on their faces. It was a perfect way to open the show!

After this, Nursery sung “Tiny Tim”, “Hickory Dickory Dock” and “Baa Baa Black Sheep”. There were some funny verses that took the audience by surprise! Nursery were wonderful, not even being phased by the fire alarm that went off mid-way through their performance!

Finally, Class RR sung “By Myself” and “Keeping to the Beat”. Some of the children even had to put on a cardigan or a pair of shoes whilst singing! They all kept us entertained.

It was wonderful watching the smiles on the children’s faces as they performed and seeing the smiles on the faces of the audience too. A special thank you to Miss Collins for teaching the children their music and to the class teachers and assistants for perfecting the songs in the classrooms.
