Declamations

Declamations took place on Thursday, 12th February 2015. We had a wonderful afternoon listening to the poems and monologues ranging from Rowen Atkinson to Passenger.
Every girl and boy performed their poem to their class and then winners were chosen for each year group by their peers and teachers. The children were judged on their physical presence, voice and articulations, dramatic appropriateness, level of difficulty, evidence of understanding and overall performance.
Boys and girls took the stage to entertain and impress the audience of parents and students and entertain us they did! Christopher Ellott, Head of English at Radley College adjudicated brilliantly making tough decisions. Our students were very impressive and the high standard was apparent throughout the year groups.
