Class Poetry Performances

Earlier this term, the entire school packed into the McMullen Hall to hear and see the Year 5-8 classes perform a class poem. It is a nerve racking experience for some but all boys are supported by going up with their class and using movement and voice to share the poem with the audience.

Poems ranged from Shakespeare to Walt Whitman to modern poetry and those from World War 1. We saw explosions and riots in South Africa. The most amazing moments however were watching boys who struggle with confidence proudly proclaiming a piece in front of the school community  Take a look at the video on vimeo. @Vimeo

A big thanks to Mr Livermore, Mrs Payne and Mr Wyatt for preparing the boys in their English classes.
