Christmas party for Elstree Boarders

The Christmas party for Elstree Boarders was different this year. It took place on a Thursday night rather than the usual last Saturday of term. Below, Head of Boarding Mr Hepburn fills us in on all the festive fun.

Elstree Boarders in bubbles

“We all sat on small tables around the dining room, split into our different bubbles. Lara and our Catering Team produced an incredible array of tasty festive treats. These included mini-burgers, baby back ribs, halloumi bites, skinny fries and a huge ‘Christmas mess’ for pudding. Needless to say, this all went down a treat.

Mr Morris hosted a great game of Heads or Tails, which was terrific fun. Well done, Laurene for coming out on top. And of course, it wouldn’t be an Elstree Boarders’ Christmas party without the traditional 12 Days of Christmas led by the Headmaster.

After supper we all headed up to the dorms to add some finishing touches to the dorm decorations in preparation for the judging tomorrow. The children were terrific company all evening and there was a lovely, festive atmosphere both up in the dorms and in the dining room.”

Can girls board at Elstree too?

Yes, absolutely. Some of our girls already board. Our new girls’ dormitory for boarding is affectionately named ‘Finlay’, after a much-loved former School Nurse.
