Bushcraft Camp August 2020

On Monday 24th August,  14 Elstree pupils embarked on a Bushcraft Camp for three days in the schools glorious grounds with Mr Attwood and Mr Pilkington.  The pupils made stools, towel rails, coffee tables and enjoyed lots of whittling!  Camp fires were raging with pupils chopping logs for the fire, which they used to cook their toast in the morning and marshmallows at night with a sing song.

The pupils this year had to weather Storm Francis with 80mph winds and driving rain.  A lot of fun was still had by all with catapults made, rafting on the school lake and lots of water ballooning at the end with the sling shot.  Mr Pilkington and Mr Attwood were delighted with the achievements of all the young Bear Grylls in camp and look forward to more camp fun next year.
