Friday 3rd March was Bandana Day at Elstree and Home Farm. The children entered into the spirit of the day and wore bandanas to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. It is the largest charity of its kind, and funds vital research, raises awareness and offers support.
We were lucky enough to welcome two very special speakers to assembly on Friday. Firstly Tom Peddie who is now 22 and was a pupil at Home Farm until he was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour when he was 4. He now works for the Brain Tumour Charity. Secondly Christopher Normand whose son Alec was a pupil at Elstree until he died of a Brain Tumour in 2008. Both spoke passionately and movingly about this very special charity.
