Autumn Concert

The Autumn Concert was held in the McMullen Hall where parents and children filled the room ready for a musical feast.

The Junior String Quartet played a confident and musical rendition of “Cello Squadron” by R Meyer. It was lovely to see the younger children playing, especially Iris Yao, who played the cello part on her own.

The Elstree School Orchestra started their performance with a beautiful Menuet by G. F Handel and ended it an upbeat “Eye Level” by J Tromby. Next was the Flute Group who played “Pink Panther” by H Mancini and a sweet little piece called “Sh! Sh! By H. Butterworth.

The next item was the Middle School Choir consisting of Year 5 and 6 children. They sang, “Bring me Sunshine” and a song that nearly brought tears to people’s eyes called “We are the Young”.

Kate Oliver and Isla Sanford sang the song, “For Good” beautifully and James Morris-Weston astounded the audience with his piano playing of “Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum” by Debussy. Finally the Chapel Choir sang “Adiemus” by Carl Jenkins, which was amazing!

Well done to all those who participated in this stunning event.
