A wet, wild and windy boarding weekend

Elstree School was fortunate not to have been affected by Storm Ciara this weekend, unlike many others around the UK who have suffered badly from the devastation. Our thoughts are naturally with them and the emergency services at this extremely challenging time.

Despite not spending much time outside, our boarders have still managed to enjoy an action-packed weekend. Energetic games of dodge-ball, badminton, table tennis and cricket were relished  in the Sports Hall. Then calmer, creative time was appreciated in the Design and Technology workshop.

Down-time was welcomed on the computers, watching TV and films, and the opportunity to use phones to call home.

After supper on  Sunday evening, a game of ‘German Spotlight’ was played in the main house.  The boys certainly found some ingenious places to hide.

Next, it was weekly spelling and general knowledge practice in the library. Now in the final week before half-term, everyone is wondering where the past six weeks went.
