Dining Hall
Children in dining hallHome Farm operates a ‘family’ style service. Food is served from the table by a member of staff. Good table manners are expected and reinforced at all times.

At Home Farm, we recognise the important connection between a healthy diet and a child's ability to learn effectively and achieve high standards. Our aim is to provide a balanced and varied healthy diet ensuring they are well nourished at school and that they have safe, nutritious and tasty food to eat and access to a plentiful supply of drinking water.

In addition, more and more parents are rightly concerned about the provenance of their children’s food. We only use suppliers we respect for the quality of their products, particularly for raw meat and fish, fresh fruit and vegetables and all dairy produce.

Our meat comes from Thatcham Butchers who only buys from Berkshire and Oxfordshire markets. All our sausages are made locally using fresh ingredients and certainly contain no side products from carcasses. Fishers of Newbury supply our fresh fruit and vegetables and these are sourced daily from the London market and delivered to us. Bread comes from Bramley Bakery in North Hampshire and is baked daily on their premises using traditional recipes.

An alternative to the main course is always on offer and children are encouraged to try different meals.  There is also a salad bar option in the summer months.
