 There is an extremely good Learning Support department at Elstree with well qualified and experienced staff; a teacher is allocated to Home Farm and works here on a regular basis. If we consider that a child would benefit from learning support, we arrange, in full consultation with the parents, for the child to be assessed by the LS team. If deemed necessary, we will then organise individual lessons. These may for be a short period only or may be longer term. Parents are provided with a learning programme and communication between the parent/carer and the specialist teacher is encouraged.
We have close links with a range of specialists including an occupational therapist and a speech therapist, enabling us to call on their particular expertise if required.
