Home Farm Nativity
Are We Nearly There Yet?

Friday 9th December saw the efforts of several weeks of rehearsals come to fruition with the performance of Home Farm’s Christmas play, entitled ‘Are We Nearly There Yet?’ The play told the story of the Walker family as they embarked on a walking holiday, much to the dismay of the children. Many a chuckle was heard in the audience as they sympathised with the all too familiar predicament of ‘Mrs Walker’ as she tried to keep the peace between fractious children and a grumpy husband! Along the way they met angels, shepherds, kings and assorted villagers all heading for Bethlehem. Wonderful acting was enhanced by much humour, plenty of catchy tunes and dancing. All of the parents joined in with the actions of the final song accompanied by laughter as they struggled to coordinate their movements to the music. It was a wonderful end to the term.
