We see the understanding and enjoyment of mathematics as being central to the success of all pupils.

The department equips pupils with the mathematical skills which will be the foundation, not just for Common Entrance or Entrance Scholarship, but also for further study and employment in later life, be it in financial, scientific, business or technology environments.

Elstree combines traditional mathematics teaching with the new ideas adapted from the National Numeracy Strategy.
