St. James's Palace Charity Event
Packing for 'Queen Mother's Clothing Guild.'

Three Yr 6 boys were taken to assist with a charity event in St. James’s Palace which is called ‘the packing day.’ The charity is called the ‘Queen Mother’s clothing Guild’ the Guild has existed since 1882 the Patron is HRH Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy Patron.
The object of the Guild is to buy, make and collect new clothing and linen and distribute these items to British Charities operating only in the United Kingdom for the sick and needy that they support.
The boys seemed to enjoy being so hands on with the charity and especially enjoyed the fact that they maybe appearing on a documentary before Christmas which was being filmed as they worked.
I am hoping to be able to raise money this year to offer a small donation to this worthwhile cause.
