Wicket-Keeping Coaching with Geraint Jones
Serious Cricket for 2 Elstree Boys.

On Wednesday 16th June two lucky Elstree boys were presented with the opportunity to pick up some tips from the 2005 Ashes winning wicket-keeper, Geraint Jones (Kent CC & England). Harry Swanborough and Thomas Vare were invited to participate in the session – at Dummer Cricket Centre – which was organised through Serious Cricket. The boys were put through their paces with regards to their keeping skills, taking part in various drills that worked on their hand-eye co-ordination as well as their agility. After a brief photo-shoot, the boys then donned their batting gear and worked with Geraint in the nets. Both boys were presented with bats, signed by Geraint, after the session and great fun was had by all! Many thanks must go to the coaches at Serious Cricket for organising the event and for inviting Harry and Thomas along.
