Sunny Tennis Evening is Ace! A rare, but very welcome, balmy sunny evening coincided with the Fathers and Sons Tennis Tournament. Meticulous arrangements by Miss Illingworth ensured the event ran like clockwork; each match lasted for 15 minutes with a brief interval for drinks and sandwiches to refresh the weary players. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all players and spectators, with some memorable shots and the odd ace thrown in to add to the excitement. In true sporting fashion there were prizes for both the winning and losing teams. It was a close fought battle but after playing each team, Will Lovell and David Shepherd emerged victorious.  |
