Wellington Choral Day
A Huge Success

The Choral Day at Wellington was a huge success, with amazing singers having the chance to show their skills, amateurs enhancing their skills – and even more so, the non-singers!

We arrived at Wellington with little time to spare, rushing to the Old Gym to be met by our singing coaches for the day. We sang in blocks of one hour, with breaks in between, some of us moving places between each session. We started off with some warm-ups and then moved straight in to start singing. After a couple of hours, we had our packed lunches and then sang again until having a hot tea of sausage and chips!

After tea, we had our final rehearsals, where we brushed up our singing abilities. Then the parents arrived, filing in through the beautiful double doors at the back of the Chapel. We sang many songs, including ‘Congratulations’, ‘Circle of Life’ and ‘Londonderry Air’. All these, we had learnt to sing in one day and we all enjoyed that day very much.
