Amazing Art Trip to the Living Rainforest
Warning - Don't eat too many bananas!

On 25th January Year 5 went to the Rainforest, this is Harvey's account of the day: -

"Our wild and lively trip to the Rainforest went well and the moment I stepped onto the bus I could just tell that I was going to have loads of fun. It was a short journey to the Living Rainforest. “Come on in boys!” shouted Mrs. Clark “The Rainforest is open!” with that said, all the boys lined up in classes and we headed into the Rainforest to sketch. I could smell the warm moist air filling my nose, I could see the colours of the birds darting from corner to corner, we were not allowed to touch anything but I could just imagine how it would feel. There were cute Turtles and huge Crocodiles. We carried on walking and we saw a bird eating spider quietly following its prey, which was not a bird. There were thousands of different leaves, my favourite leaves were ones which had a leaf in a leaf, which looked like someone had painted a leaf onto another leaf.
After a few minutes a tour guide came and we lined up into three lines and headed off. He told us all about the animals and plants. One fact that he said was that never to eat more that 14 bananas a day because bananas have potassium in them which can kill you if you eat too much. We carried on and saw a slimy snake climbing up a tree and a tiny monkey which was the smallest monkey in the world. Near to the end of the tour we saw a poisonous plant which if eaten it could make your wind pipe swell up and could kill you. It was a green leaf which was camouflaged. After the tour I finished off my sketches and then I sadly had to say goodbye to the Rainforest."

I only need one word to describe the day AMAZING!
