House Cross Country

Another great atmosphere was created at this year’s House Cross-Country Competition.

“All boys run and all boys count” is the motto and this is a great incentive to “do your bit” for your house whether a seasoned or less-than-seasoned runner!

The Juniors went off first, led by a rather over-enthusiastic hare (Gapper Mr Hidden) who somewhat outpaced the pack! Gus O’Connor (West) was the first runner home in a time of 6 minutes and 16 seconds, shortly followed by Thomas Attwood (South) and Harry Mitchell (South). In the Intermediates it was Orlando Lines (West) that was first past the post in a time of 9 minutes and 31 seconds. Alfie Kingham (East) put in a gutsy run to finish second and Charlie Massy-Collier (East) was third. Thank you to Gapper Miss Dawson for being the hare in this event. The Senior race was won by Alastair Revell (West) who was a minute or so in front of the next runner. His time of 14 minutes and 35 seconds narrowly missed the school record. Second was Charlie Davison (South) and third was Miles Rowse (South).

The overall result is to be announced to the boys on Tuesday of next week so we shall leave you guessing as to the winning house!
