Football Fan? Dan Freedman's your man Elstree’s second visiting speaker for book week was journalist and author Dan Freedman. As editor for the Football Association Dan worked closely with the England Team, touring with them during two World Cups. He talked about his writing career and showed the boys some footage of interviews that he had with players such as David Beckham. Dan spoke about his move to writing children's fiction and his series of football books, written for ages 10+ about schoolboy Jamie Johnson’s rise to the Premier League. Dan’s talk was very engaging and Gary Lineker and Steven Gerrard are just two of the people in football who have endorsed his books. The boys went home for half term with signed copies. |
