Running to lessonsElstree offers its pupils a first-class, progressive education in preparation for Common Entrance or Entrance Scholarship to the senior independent school of their choice.

Our “whole school” curriculum policy offers a wide choice of subjects and aims to realise the highest academic expectations for all pupils within a framework of proven learning techniques and innovative and exciting teaching methods. New pupils are accepted on the basis of an interview and a report from their previous head teacher, and an enrolment test is also undertaken for streaming and setting purposes.

Lessons take place six days a week with an average class size of 15 pupils. The timetable for all boys includes English, Mathematics, French, Science, Geography, History, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Design Technology, Scripture, Art, Music and Physical Education. Latin is introduced from Year Six.

Elstree is proud of its academic record which includes an impressive array of scholarship awards whilst also giving confidence to each learner.
