Boarders Celebrate Burns Night and hit the slopes!

The boarders enjoyed a truly Scottish feast on Saturday evening. Mr Smith taught us all a bit about the haggis and then toasted it in true Burns night style. After giving the haggis a go (it was delicious!) the boys and staff worked off their supper with some Scottish Reeling. Thoroughly worn out by this, the boys hunkered down in the common room to watch a film.

On Sunday the boys went off to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre where they spent some time on the Ringo Run (inflatable rings flying down a sledging run) and then enjoyed an hour of traversing the slope. The more experienced skiiers even got competetive with a bit of jumping! Once more worn out by the day’s activities the boarders had another go at taking on the ‘prison guard’ Mr Williams in a few rounds of ‘Escape from Colditz’ – everyone is getting rather into the game now and it would really be great to see the prison guard defeated!
